Black Bear Events is one of the few event companies to offer affordable solar and battery powered lighting for all types of event applications. With years of experience in alternative technologies, we are able to bring our expertise to the events industry in a unique way. We can provide equipment from stage lighting to area lighting for working spaces, and compact units for remote applications such as lighting festival gates and steward points. Our hire equipment is delivered and installed on your site by our technicians, or, in the case of simple worklight systems, dry hire is available.

We also manufacture and sell systems to meet your requirements. Our simple yet effective market traders lighting systems will transform your stall and extend trading hours at festivals without the noise or pollution of a generator or the expense of a site power supply. They are 12volt systems, so are exempt from PAT testing.

Our self contained battery lighting system for market and festival traders is robust, easy to use, lasts for days and can be set up in a matter of minutes. And, being 12volt, it’s exempt from PAT testing!

 The system comprises two durable polycarbonate light fittings with 12volt compact fluorescent lamps, each with 4 metres of cable, fuse and quick release battery terminals – no tools required. We even add in ten re-useable cable ties for fixing the lights in your stall. All you need to do is add a battery and its ready to go (we can supply batteries if required) These lights will last approx 35 hours on a fully charged good condition 85amp hour leisure battery.
